Alveolar trill to Voiceless retroflex fricative

In Central and Eastern Scandinavian dialects a rhotic followed by [s] fuses with it into a single retroflex fricative [ʂ]. The tongue tip, already curled back for the apical [r], carries that retraction onto the following sibilant, and the rhotic itself disappears.
